Please could practice staff not provide patients with the telephone number for the Referral Centre.

If patients want or need to chase up a referral they should be directed to the Customer Services/Regional Call Centre. The number is 0800 333 477.

The Referral Centre is not set up to respond to patient requests, and when they do so it reduces their ability to deal with enquiries from healthcare professionals, as well as getting on with the primary role of processing referrals.
