Follow-up of blood test results
Health and Disability Commissioner Anthony Hill has today released a report finding two general practitioners (GPs) in breach of the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers’ Rights for their care of a man enrolled in an ongoing clinical trial.
As part of the clinical trial (the trial), regular blood tests were taken, and the trial clinicians undertook to notify participants’ GPs of any significantly abnormal findings.
Failure to arrange medical review
The Health and Disability Commissioner today released a report finding two nurses in breach of the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers’ Rights (the Code) for failures in their assessment of a male inmate.
