The sleep clinic at Tauranga Hospital has grown steadily since its inception around 30 years ago and has transformed the lives of many literally overnight.

In order to accurately assess and grade GP referrals, the grading physician must have the relevant clinical details, in particular BMI, neck circumference and the Epworth score.

Simply stating ‘Known sleep apnoea', please see’ is not sufficient, and such referrals will be returned asking for more information.
