Did you know you can refer patients with suspected stable angina to the Angina Clinic at Tauranga Hospital? This is a consultant-led outpatient clinic that aims to see patients within 4-8 weeks of referral. It is intended for 1) those with symptoms consistent with angina, or 2) those with uncertain symptoms but at higher risk (eg. family history, raised lipids etc).

Note that it is not intended for evaluation of atypical chest pain in the absence of risk factors, or for symptoms such as loss of consciousness/collapse without cardiac features. In order to ensure good access with shorter waiting times for all angina patients, non-cardiac chest pain referrals will have to be returned.
