Dr Laurie Wing has left BOPDHB to move to the South Island, leaving only one endocrinologist here at Tauranga Hospital, Dr Kingsley Nirmalaraj.

Dr Laurie Wing has left BOPDHB to move to the South Island, leaving only one endocrinologist here at Tauranga Hospital, Dr Kingsley Nirmalaraj. Until a replacement is found, Dr Nirmalaraj will be doing the work of two, so if we can all try to be as selective as possible with our endocrinology referrals, that will help the endocrine clinic being swamped and growing a huge waiting list. It will likely take a few months to find a replacement for Dr Wing.

In the meantime, we can also help by actioning any test results coming through to us that were ordered by Dr Wing, if appropriate.
