Registrations are now open for the Advanced Care Planning Cooperative’s Level 2 Practitioner Training in the Bay of Plenty.

For the first time, the workshop will be offered in both Whakatane 9 & 10 May and Tauranga 7 & 8 June (venues to be confirmed).

Who should attend?

It’s for experienced doctors, nurses and allied health workers who care for patients, especially patients with life-limiting or longterm conditions or those in aged related residential care facilities.

It is NOT suitable for newly graduated staff in their beginning practice.

Why should I go?

It will help you develop advanced communication skills to effectively initiate and participate in any complex conversations.

The course focuses on advance care planning, however the skills are applicable in any situation.

Are there credits for professional development?

Yes! The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners has endorsed the programme and approved up to 13.00 CME credits for the GP Education Programme (GPEP) Years 2 and 3, and for Maintenance of Professional Standards (MOPS). Up to a further six hours of self-directed learning can be claimed.
