Paediatric "Consult of the Day" 8 Feb 2019

The Tauranga Paediatric Department are trialling a system whereby any GP calls made between 08:00 and 16:00 during the week will be taken by one of the Paediatric SMOs on a daily rostered basis.

The Tauranga Paediatric Department are trialling a system whereby any GP calls made between 08:00 and 16:00 during the week will be taken by one of the Paediatric SMOs on a daily rostered basis. This will be for any paediatric patients that might need to be admitted or for any general advice situations. After hours and at weekends the RMO will still take the calls.

This is a potentially very useful change and any feedback would be really valuable to help evaluate it. Please send any thoughts or comments to alison.james@bopdhb.govt.nz
