There are some significant regulatory changes coming into effect from July 1^st 2019. Boring but important!

There are some significant regulatory changes coming into effect from July 1^st 2019. Boring but important! These are predominantly around 2 main areas. One being how information is shared between agencies basically widening the scope of doing this without breaching confidentiality particularly around issues of Family Violence and child protection/ safety. The second is around the scope of what Oranga Tamariki will be responsible for particularly with respect to 17-25 year olds and expanding their role in assessing health needs and ensuring support for those health needs is available. This last aspect if particularly relevant to primary care in that it specifically states ensuring enrolment with a primary health organisation.
