A direct 0800 phone line is now available for Bay of Plenty and Lakes GPs and health professionals who require clinical advice in relation to COVID-19.

A direct 0800 phone line is now available for Bay of Plenty and Lakes GPs and health professionals who require clinical advice in relation to COVID-19.   

You can now phone 0800 99 22 22 to speak to on-call public health clinical advisor.  

The intention of this line is to provide more direct access to this advice, without requiring direction through our usual 0800 service number.  Please hold the line if not answered straight away as the line will automatically divert to a second available phone after 20 seconds if the first phone is not able to answer.  

Please do not share this number outside of primary care and health service networks to ensure this capacity is able to be reserved for its intended purpose.  This is not a line for the general public to phone for COVID-19 information or advice.
