Maintaining Appropriate Referrals to District Nursing Service in Light of COVID-19 27 Mar 2020

There have been reports of patients being redirected from primary care to the District Nursing service for dressing changes and removal of sutures.

It would be appreciated if these usual services could be maintained at a general practice level, utilising PPE as appropriate.  

If a patient requires District Nursing input, please make a referral in the first instance through the usual channels.
