The Ministry of Health have identified global supply chain constraints on medical supplies including blood test tubes.

The Ministry of Health have identified global supply chain constraints on medical supplies including blood test tubes. In response they have established a Critical Medical Supplies Monitoring Group, in collaboration with Pharmac and HealthSource.

Local stocks in the Bay of Plenty are largely unaffected at present. However in anticipation of a potential shortage please can we aim to minimise wastage by consolidating tests as much as possible and being mindful of usage.
