Warning lifted - Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning (PSP)New Zealand Food Safety – MPI has advised that the Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning (PSP) warning for the Bay of Plenty, covering the area from the southern end of Pauanui Beach to the entrance of Tauranga Harbour (Mount Maunganui), was lifted on 20 February 2025. Further sampling along this coastline has confirmed that paralytic shellfish toxin levels have returned to safe levels. New BPAC eReferral for IV Iron Infusion available from 26 FebruaryEffective 26th February 2025, a new BPAC eReferral will be available for patients requiring an IV iron infusion when the primary care funded pathway is not an option. This applies to both WBOP and EBOP. Please use the Day Infusion Service referral instead of the ‘General Medical’ form for IV iron infusion requests. For all other infusion requests, continue to use the ‘General Medical’ form. |
