One great advantage of the latest addition to Best Practice referrals is in the case of a woman who has heavy bleeding and with a large pelvic mass of over 12 weeks size the referral will automatically generate an ultrasound referral as well as a gynaecology referral. Now that’s a bonus!

The form aims to reduce the amount of free text that a GP has to write whilst ensuring that all the critical information is present to enable accurate grading from the gynaecologists.
