If you’re a GP in the Eastern BOP, there is a new acute referral system for medicals patient in place. Please call Dr Stewart Crowe, who is the acute admission medical registrar, for advice or admissions. He is a dedicated registrar taking acute referrals.

The first three-month pilot trial for this system was a success, with patients being assessed more quickly and having to spend less time in ED.
