The BOP DHB has an exciting opportunity for a medical officer with an interest in addiction medicine, to join the multidisciplinary specialist addiction team based in Tauranga. The main focus of this role is to provide opioid substitution treatment (OST) for patients across the district in accordance with the New Zealand OST guidelines.

Previous experience working in addiction medicine would be an advantage but not essential as there are experienced clinicians who will support the new appointee. The appointee/s will work with senior psychiatrist and mental health and addiction services registrar colleagues and have close liaison with general practitioners and pharmacists. There are opportunities for full time or part time hour appointments.
