Waiting times for all community radiology requests have decreased significantly in the past few years. For example most urgent x-ray requests are performed in a 1 week and non-urgents within 2 weeks.
Waiting times for all community radiology requests have decreased significantly in the past few years. For example most urgent x-ray requests are performed in a 1 week and non-urgents within 2 weeks. At the same time there has been an increase in community referred CT scans of 50% whilst waiting times are now less than five weeks in the majority of cases.
Please take a couple of minutes to look at the radiology waiting times information so you can advise patients how long they are likely to be waiting when referred.
It is appreciated that some people have struggled with the eReferral process but hopefully this data illustrates the positive impact the eReferral form, along with other process improvements in radiology, has made in terms of waiting times.
