Expressions of Interest - General Practice Liaison (GPL)

An opportunity has arisen for a 0.1FTE (8 hours per fortnight) General Practice Liaison (GPL) based in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

An opportunity has arisen for a 0.1FTE (8 hours per fortnight) General Practice Liaison (GPL) based in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. This role will initially be for a 12 month period to test whether the time allocated is sufficient to provide a link between DHB provided services and general practices.

The successful candidate will be a practicing general practice clinician working in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. They will have excellent communication skills as well as experience in quality improvement.

The position sits within the service improvement unit which is part of a wider evolving Quality Improvement Network. The new general practice liaison will join three other GPLs currently based in Tauranga. The GPLs report to the Clinical Director of Innovation and Improvement.

If the successful candidate is vocationally registered with a medical college they will be employed under the Senior Medical Officers MECA. The length of time vocationally registered will determine the step on the MECA pay scale.
