Psychiatric Acute Community Team (PACT):
Acute/urgent referrals should be made by telephoning the triage coordinator on 07 577 6452, 0800 800 508 or Fax 571 8647
Bay of Plenty Addiction Service (formerly CADS):
The Bay of Plenty Addiction Service is a specialist regional service working with adult (18+) clients with moderate to severe alcohol and other drug problems.
They offer specialist services such as detox and Opioid Substitution (Methadone) Treatment, and work with a multi-disciplinary team approach. The team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, counsellors and addiction clinicians.
They are hospital-based service. The team in the Western Bay is based on the first floor of Kowhai House on the Tauranga Hospital campus. The team in the Eastern Bay is co-located with the Community Mental Health Team at Level 2 Commerce Plaza, 52 Commerce Street, Whakatāne.
Satellite clinics are held in Katikati, Mt Maunganui, Te Puke, Whakatāne and Kawerau.

- Alcohol and other drug advice, assessment and treatment.

The service is free is it is a part of the Bay of Plenty District Health Board's range of health services.

- Self-referral - people can self refer by walking into the department at the addresses above but if possible should be encouraged to telephone first
