Innovation Awards 2017

We had a record number of entries for this year’s Innovation Awards. It was a hard job for the selection panel to choose 6 finalists from the 29 entries. The Awards evening was held last week, and was a fantastic event, thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. This year we had two Masters of Ceremonies, Hospital Registrars, Allan Plant and Sam Cutfield. As Allan and Sam seamlessly passed from one to the other, then on to the next finalist, their performance made for a truly well-coordinated and slick event.

Staff were given seven minutes to present their innovation and then asked questions from the floor. Each of the six presentations was excellent. The passion of each of the groups shone through clearly. I was very pleased not to be a judge – they had an extremely difficult job on their hands!
