The Waikato / BOP Faculty invites you to join us from Fri 23 - Sun 25 Sep 2022 for our Educational Symposium a at the Papamoa Beach Resort for two days of learning and re-connecting with your peers.

Friday 23 Sep from 6 - 9pm Welcome Dinner & Talk
Join us for a Pecha Kucha session and a delicious meal at our Opening Dinner with guest speaker Dr Andrew Corin - Being a doctor in the Wild West of the soul.
 
Saturday 24 Sep from 9 - 4.30pm - Conference & AGM - Papamoa Beach Resort, Papamoa
 Conference topics include:

  • Sexual Health Update by Dr Massimo Ginola, BOP Sexual Health Consultant
  • Assisted Dying and the GP team – a facilitated discussion
  • Difficult Asthma in a GP context – by Dr Johnnie Walker BOP Respiratory Consultant
  • A practical guide to Hui Process and Meihana Model - Dr Jason Tuhoe, Auckland GP
  • Diving In! - A practical guide to undertaking FACT (Focused Acceptance Therapy) in your own consults - Dr Alison James Local GP
  • Bowel Screening Update – by Alex Lampen Smith BOP Consultant Gastroenterologist - Faculty AGM 

Sun 25 Sep from 9 - 12.30pm - Conference - Tauranga Education Centre, Tauranga Hospital
 We will be offering three streams from which to pick and mix a number of topics, including;

  • Mentorship,
  • Research,
  • The business of General practice,
  • Leadership skills,
  • Educational tools and Coping with Burnout!

The cost of $95 per person includes all sessions, Friday night's dinner, morning tea and lunch on Saturday as well as a morning tea on Sunday. All fees are fully refundable until COB 15 September.

Please note, on Sunday 25 September all sessions will be held at the Tauranga Education Centre Tauranga Hospital, 
889 Cameron Road, Tauranga.
